It took just one year to build Austria's most modern INTERSPAR bakery on a 14,000 square meter site in Kottingbrunn, Austria. On September 21st, the time had finally come: with the official opening, 50 employees are now responsible for the daily supply of INTERSPAR hypermarkets in the greater Vienna area, Lower Austria and Burgenland with oven-fresh bread and the finest confectionery. Whether monastery bread, yeast dough buns, fruit slices or doughnuts; up to 100 types of bread and pastries are produced by hand every day, in master quality and using selected local ingredients.
Another ingredient that played a not inconsiderable role in the success of this major project: syspro's proFood MES, which is the fundamental technology that maps the production processes and their connection to the existing SAP retail system from end to end.
With proFood MES, e.g. the picking processes of the required bulk consumer units, are supported by the use of cold-resistant mobile devices (MDE) - also functioning under the requirements in the deep-freeze area. Lean processes that are kept simple for the operator ensure that the required delivery capacities are guaranteed and allow flexibility in the production processes. With the flexible design in the proFood process interface proDet, a customer consignment process in the frozen food sector has been designed that allows the processes in SAP to be kept in the standard and the loading to be controlled purely by scanning via mobile data capture.
"What we combine here at this location is genuine bakery craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology", (Markus Kaser, Managing Director INTERSPAR-Austria).
