Saving the climate with a bike?
The "Stadtradeln" initiative ventures a step towards mobility change - and syspro joins in.
Stadtradeln has been pursuing its mission for many years: paving the way for more cycling in Germany. And of course that works best in a competition that has the goal of covering as many kilometers as possible by bike for three weeks.
This not only encourages people to get on their bikes and pedal hard, but also has a long-term mission. Making the switch from car to bike more attractive requires the support of policymakers, who must develop the framework conditions.
It also motivated our employees to come together in a team to take part in the competition and encourage each other in the process.
For this purpose, all volunteer cyclists have downloaded an app that tracks the kilometers they have completed. These routes can then be examined anonymously, providing information that can be used to improve the cycling infrastructure. These results can then be forwarded directly to the respective municipalities.
We think so: A clever idea to strengthen cycling, to motivate each other in the community to more climate protection and, by the way, to do something for your own health.
